The BCHA Education Foundation dismantled itself to pave the way for the new Grants Committee. The Grant Committee is a full-fledged committee with its own bank account just for grants moneys. All the money in this account will only go for grants awarded by the Grant Committee. Other than the name and the fact that we are a full-fledged committee - there is nothing else different.
We will still be giving out grants at every National Board Meeting. Grant applications can be made January through March 15th of every year. March 15th through April 2nd, the Grant Committee will decide the grants that will be funded and for how much. Then, at the National Board Meeting, the grants will be given out at the banquet. (Should there be no one there to accept the check, it will be mailed the following week to the contact.)
The committee has$3000 available for grants east of the Mississippi and other funds for grants due to the generous Trails Forever Fund donors. The Trails Forever Fund is the Grants Committee’s primary source of funds.
Kristie Hefling- No- there is money for west of the Mississippi, we just wanted the eastern folks to know that there was money just for them. So, Please submit your grant application online! We look forward to hearing from you! Karen Saner; Grant Committee Chairman
So am I reading this correctly.....
That the grants and other funds are only for EAST OF THE MISSISSIPPI?
If that is correct, if we are west of the Mississippi.... then we need not apply correct?
Thanks for your time.
